John W. Braymer, PhD

John Braymer, Ph. D., Hon. AIA, is president of Art and Architecture Tours LLC.  The retired chief executive of the American Institute of Architects/Virginia and Founding President of the Virginia Center for Architecture (now the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design), Braymer has organized numerous European tours for the Center for Palladian Studies of America, Inc., of which he was Director and Treasurer for many years, AIA/Virginia, and the Virginia Center for Architecture.  He has a Ph.D. in English literature and has studied architectural history through graduate study, the Attingham Summer School, the Royal Collections Study Course, the London House Course, and many other programs. He is a member of the International Confederation of Architecture Museums.
